Simone de Beauvoir’s works first opened up feminist literature for me, and ever since I have been seeking out writing that reflects women’s perspectives – whether poetry, novels, or short stories. I am currently studying book management at postgraduate level in Budapest, with the aim of founding a micro-publishing house dedicated to stories rooted in the female experience. In Hungary, where there are no women in government and women’s bodies are nevertheless treated as political assets, it feels especially important to create space for these voices and stories.

I believe many important texts should be available in Hungarian, and that translation can meaningfully enrich the cultural and social discourse Hungary urgently needs. Tehrefore my focus is on translating and publishing works by women from across the world.
