Michelle Chepchumba Korir is a Kenyan publisher based in Nairobi. She holds a BA in Psychology and an MA in Creative Writing (Children’s and Young Adult Literature), and she is the author of Tears Make a Daughter (2025). After 10 years working as a writer and editor, she set up Walking Stories Press in 2025 to publish Kenyan love stories. She is endlessly curious about the literature and publishing ecosystem in Kenya, and so she writes about it on Substack as The Kenyan Bookmaker. In 2026, her hope is to undertake a PhD to study romance in Kenyan literature.
