I was born and raised in Baku, and my path into publishing began with my studies in philology, followed by professional certificates in copyright, rights management, translation, and international publishing practices. From my student years, I was actively involved in cultural and literary projects, which helped shape my passion for the book world.
Today, I serve as the Foreign Rights officer at Gadim Gala Publishing, where I lead international rights negotiations, develop socially impactful publishing initiatives, and work to introduce Azerbaijani authors to new readerships. I am also the founder of Layla Literary, the first officially registered literary agency in Azerbaijan established by a woman. Alongside my work in publishing, I advise the Azerbaijan Publishers Association and represent my country at major international book fairs and conferences.
